Cycleway bypasses the traffic lights at Wilmslow Road's T-junction with Great Western Street in the "curry mile" Rusholme, Manchester

Wheelchair user heading to the bus stop in one of the new cycleways in Rusholme's "curry mile" - build it and they will come! (But it looked like the bus-stop should have a higher kerb to enable level access to the bus)

These bollards were supposed to be spaced 1.7m apart (for 1.5m clearance) but they've not been installed to this specification. The new wide waiting area was worth campaigning for - it's a vast improvement over the original 'S-bend' proposa ... [more]

Closed road alongside the railway viaduct at the University of Manchester - what a shame it's closed to cycling

There's a lot of cycle parking under the railway arches - how strange that this isn't a cycle route

Through route for cycles only

A perfect place to park at the University of Manchester (the sign is a bit odd - presumably the footway is still the footway and the cycleway is on the carriageway)

No idea where the cycle lane is.

@GMcycling why doesn't this bike lane continue straight? I have to look behind me to see if cars are turning. https://t.co/3fiWpaktmF

No cycling on the Bridgewater Canal towpath - it's true, there's very tight access to the ramp on the right.

It would have been so much better to put in a ramped bridge here.

'No Through Road except cycles' on Long Millgate leading to cycle track crossing the tramway.

A mix of pedestrian and cycle route signs, obscuring each other, while the motoring sign stands tall, clear and unobstructed.

Cycle parking on Dantzic Street.

The Dantzic Street cycleway studs lead users to the carriageway, but for how long is it two-way? The base of the bollard that has been removed could be a trip hazard for pedestrians.

The Dantzic Street cycleway studs to the south of Miller Street align with the toucan crossing, unlike across the other side (see #72825).

The studs on the Dantzic Street cycleway don't align with the toucan crossing across Miller Street, and the street furniture does not help guide users to the crossing either.

Cycleway across paved pedestrian area marked only by studs.

Staggered toucan crossing across Cheetham Hill Road at Trinity Way junction, but nothing obvious on either side that permits cycling on the footway.

The intermittent Cheetham Hill Road cycle lane starts up again.

Sign obscured by lamppost.

Painted cycle lane that disappears at the next junction.

Painted cycle lane for vehicular cyclists. Who will be encouraged to take up cycling by this?

Plenty of cycle parking at the Cheetham Primary Care Centre, but no infrastructure on Cheetham Hill Road to encourage its use.

A narrow path between Smedley Lane and Boyle Street, signed as a line-segregated foot/cycle path, and without a dropped kerb at the end.

If you're walking to the city centre, you'd be quicker heading to the left.
